Dr. Joe Barry is Clinical Professor in Public Health Medicine and Head of the Department of Public Health and Primary Care in Trinity College. He joined the department as a Senior Lecturer in 1997. Joe graduated as a doctor from University College Cork in 1979. He did internal medicine training in the United Kingdom and public health training in Ireland and the United Kingdom. He completed his MSc in the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and his MD in Trinity College. He is fluent in Irish and English.
