Professional Background
Emer completed her Pharmacology Degree from University College Dublin in 1993 and went on to complete her medical training in Trinity College Dublin in 1999. She completed her MICGP in 2010 graduating from the HSE Mid Leinster GP training scheme.
Emer is a GP with a keen interest in Medical Education. She completed a higher diploma in Health Professions Education in 2015.
Research
Emer is currently working on a HRB funded project examining evidence updates for GPs.
Teaching
Emer leads the Year 1 Introduction to Professional Clinical Practice undergraduate medical teaching programme in RCSI. She has extensive experience in curriculum development and assessment.
