Research topic:
‘The relationship between Addiction and Health in homeless population’ Homeless population is associated with higher rates of mortality, morbidity, poor mental health, alcohol and drug use and other risky behaviors relative to the general population.The aim of this project is to determine if injecting drug use/substance misuse is associated with lower levels of self-reported health, higher levels of anxiety, depression and other mental health problems and if they tend to have more contact with health services, especially A &E than other homeless groups. For that, cross sectional study will be carried out using existing data from SafetyNet clinics.
