Professor Bruce Arroll. "Getting big results from brief consultations in primary care". 27th June 2019.
Prof Bruce Arroll, Professor of General Practice and Primary Health Care at the University of Auckland New Zealand and a practising GP, delivered a seminar on his use of FACT (focussed acceptance and commitment therapy) in research and practice. The seminar included an 11 minute video of a consultation with a distressed patient where he uses FACT, and also discussed the work/love/play questionnaire which is a brief psychosocial assessment that can be done in a few minutes which is the functional assessment part of the FACT interview. The design and results of a randomised controlled trial in primary care were presented on FACT as the intervention.
